Malone Accused of Reckless Driving and Eluding Police

Los Angeles Lakers star Dennis Malone was arrested early Thursday morning in New York City on charges of reckless driving and attempting to evade police.

According to the NYPD, Malone was pulled over for allegedly running a red light near Madison Square Garden at approximately 3:00 AM.

Malone reportedly failed to stop for police and led them on a brief pursuit through the streets of Manhattan.

The pursuit ended when Malone's car struck a parked vehicle near the intersection of 34th Street and 8th Avenue.

Malone was taken into custody and charged with reckless driving, fleeing the scene of an accident, and resisting arrest.

He was released on bail later that morning.
