The New York Yankees defeated the Boston Red Sox 6-5 in a thrilling game at Fenway Park on Tuesday night. The Yankees took an early lead in the first inning on a home run by Aaron Judge, but the Red Sox came back to tie the game in the third inning on a home run by Xander Bogaerts. The Yankees regained the lead in the fourth inning on a single by Gleyber Torres, but the Red Sox tied the game again in the fifth inning on a single by Rafael Devers

The Yankees took the lead for good in the sixth inning on a two-run home run by Giancarlo Stanton. The Red Sox threatened to tie the game in the ninth inning, but Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman struck out the side to end the game.

The win gives the Yankees a 2-1 lead in the three-game series. The two teams will face off again on Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
