DORTMUND, Germany (AP) — Jadon Sancho is back at Borussia Dortmund. The English winger re-joined the Bundesliga club on loan from Manchester United on Thursday until the end of the season. Sancho left Dortmund to join United in 2021 for a fee of 73 million pounds ($85 million). He had been with Dortmund since 2017, making 137 appearances and scoring 50 goals. The 22-year-old Sancho has struggled to make an impact at United, scoring just eight goals in 52 appearances. He has also been criticized for his lack of consistency. Sancho said he is looking forward to playing with a smile again at Dortmund. "I'm really happy to be back," Sancho said. "I have a lot of good memories here and I'm looking forward to making more." Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said Sancho is a "great player" who will add quality to the team. "We are very happy to have him back," Kehl said.
