Giants Snell Throws Third No Hitter Of Mlb Season

Giants' Snell throws third no-hitter of MLB season

Historic performance against Reds

San Francisco ace strikes out 10 in 3-0 victory

Cincinnati, Ohio - San Francisco Giants starter Blake Snell threw the third no-hitter of the major league season on Friday night, blanking the Cincinnati Reds 3-0.

Snell, who signed with the Giants in the offseason, struck out 10 batters and walked four in the historic performance. It was the first no-hitter of his career and the third in the MLB this year, following no-hitters by Spencer Strider of the Atlanta Braves and Triston McKenzie of the Cleveland Guardians.

Snell's no-hitter is the first by a Giants pitcher since Matt Cain threw a perfect game against the Houston Astros in 2012. It is also the first no-hitter thrown at Great American Ball Park since the Reds' Homer Bailey threw one against the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2013.

The Giants offense provided Snell with just enough support, scoring three runs on seven hits. Brandon Belt drove in two runs with a double in the first inning, and Joey Bart added a run-scoring single in the fourth inning.

With the win, the Giants improve to 21-23 on the season, while the Reds fall to 17-27.

Conclusion

Blake Snell's no-hitter was a dominant performance that will surely be remembered by Giants fans for years to come. It is a testament to his talent and the hard work he has put in to become one of the best pitchers in the game.
