Denver Nuggets Reach Brink of Advancing Over Minnesota Timberwolves

Nuggets Win Third Straight to Take 3-2 Lead in Series

Denver Poised to Close Out Wolves in Game 6

The Denver Nuggets have seized control of their Western Conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, winning three straight games to take a 3-2 lead. After losing the first two games at home, the Nuggets have bounced back with impressive victories in Games 3, 4, and 5.

In Game 5 on Friday night, the Nuggets dominated from start to finish, cruising to a 106-80 victory at home. Nikola Jokic led the way for Denver with 26 points, 18 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Jamal Murray added 21 points. Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards each scored 19 points for the Timberwolves, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Nuggets from taking control of the series.

The Nuggets will have a chance to close out the series in Game 6 on Sunday night in Minnesota. The Timberwolves will need to find a way to contain Jokic, who has been a force in the last three games, averaging 27.3 points, 15.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists. If Denver can continue to play with the same intensity and execution they have shown in the last three games, they should be able to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
